Integration, Beloved

~ the greatest test of your life, sometimes ~

After exploring the psychedelic realm for 11 years, I’m finaaaally confident in saying I’ve got a handle on integration. Which is the most important, and hardest part.

Choosing to embark on a psychedelic sojourn is one thing. Not to be diminished though! Bravery is required, among other mental and emotional preparations.

But the trip is just a strong dose of self-awareness.

Your real test is this:

Can you decipher the messages your mind and body release into your awareness…

Anyone can sit at the loom and stare at the threads.

Not everyone is ready, willing, or able to become the weaver. At least for now. This can change though.

Sometimes the weaving is easy. You get a tattoo, learn a skill, a new hobby, or read a book about something you’ve been curious about but never made time for.

And sometimes the weaving is your greatest challenge to date.

Quitting your job. Starting a business. Ending a relationship, or maybe starting one. Having children. Voicing buried truths. Releasing clutched anger, shame, sadness, grief. Having the kind of conversations that are easy to put off.

This is when the trees lean in to watch closer.

They want to know how you face the storm.

Will you do the work required to braid your life anew

Or once the chemicals clear your system, do you cling to what’s comfortable?

Feed the fire, fan the flames.

Let it lie.

This choice is yours.

Always has been, always will be.

With love from the forest,

~ Alexander

P.S. This applies self-discoveries not rooted in psychedelics too.
