Seinfeld’s Secrets of LIIIIFE
~ add these to the words of wisdom ~

Evening sunshine filters through the skylights, softly.
The day’s last golden rays fade while Yuki slumbers, liquidy music fills the room…
And fingers fumble awkwardly across keys.
I knew this time would come.
I’ve been waiting for the calm after the storm.
The creative vortex that sucked me in, swirled me about, and helped me bring Emberbrook to life has left me feeling zonked.
(Which is a real word, I’ll have you know!)
In keeping with the Embrookian way, where we embody energies as they flow and pull back as they ebb, I’m easing off this week to let my creative juices regenerate.
So today, I’d like to share Jerry Seinfeld’s irreverent, insightful, and amusing commencement address to Duke University’s 2024 graduating class.
Personal highlights include:
“The less secure and confident you feel in [your] direction, the more surprises and excitement you will have in store—that’s good.”
“I’ve had a lot of fun in life falling in love with stupid, meaningless physical objects. The object I love the most is the clear barrel Bic pen. $1.29 for a box of ten.”
“If you took a stupid job that you find you hate and you don’t leave, that’s your fault.”
Over to Jerry for the rest:
With love from the forest,
~ Alexander
